What this group is about:
There is a huge potential in the Mountains to grow a lot of what we eat every day sustainably. Food from our own backyard is not trucked around the country, not packed, cooled or sprayed. And if we swap our seeds or buy and make stuff together we can do that on a shoestring.

- Growing, threshing, harvesting and storing grain,
- keeping bees,
- keeping and breeding chicken ducks, quail and the like,
- building small scale threshing or winnowing devices together,
- building a chicken tractor,
- buying tools for common use,
- learn when to sow what,
- learn about soil and climate,
- growing an orchard and pruning fruit,
- learning about sheep, goats, cows and more,
- making forage walks,
- swap seeds and cuttings.

Drop in to our regular meetings on the first Sunday each month, in the Blue Mountains Organic Community Gardens, Harold Hodgson Park, 10 Victoria Street. We share a cup of tea, contributions are welcome!
